I’m not about to write about Tyler. It’s true that’s the name on his birth certificate, but he’s known around the world as Clapp Daddy Express. Born on Mount Kilimanjaro, he spent his early years wrestling lions and wildebeests. Eventually he got bored and decided to wrestle people instead, going to state championships and such. He’s a wild personality with hair so ginger that people call 911 because they think his head’s on fire. He’s not only a free spirit but also a pro free styler. Oh and in case you’re still not sold on this man, it’s not uncommon to see him spending 6 hours a day at the gym, 5 hours and 59 minutes of which are him doing bicep curls in front of the mirror, (the other minute is abs). Say hello to the ginger messiah.

I'Rushi is a senior Bioengineering student intent on graduating at the top of his class next year. His outrageous work ethic and his passion for success will translate directly into how much he will care for his entire O-Week group. As a three-time advisor, he has the experience needed to bring this O-Week group into Jones and Disney legend. Originally from San Diego, his So-Cal attitude comes out on the weekends, when he loves to support his hometown football team, the Chargers, play some beach volleyball, or coach Jones’ Flag Football teams. Rushi’s knowledge of campus wide organizations is unmatched. He has been involved with Rice’s entrepreneurship programs, and served as a manager at Rice’s late-night food emporium “The Hoot.” He also has knowledge of Rice’s small but powerful undergraduate business program. If you are lucky enough to be in #yOLAF, rest assured that, in combination with his other advisors, Rushi will make sure that your first year here at Rice is a success and that you are set up for even more success in the future.

Mitch hails from the frozen north of Alaska. He could see Russia from his house and grew up hunting polar bears, penguins, and reindeers. He has spent his life globetrotting and he speaks several languages fluently. Mitch enjoys singing Disney songs, reading spy novels, watching action movies, and taking naps on the Jones hammock. He is about as good at sitting still as Tigger, and his energy is infectious. Mitch is a Mechanical Engineering student by day and a master practitioner of culinary skills by night; forever a pasta-eating fiend. Swift as a coursing river, he carbo-loads during Beer Bike season as a Jones biker. During O-Week, he will be exercising his super powers as a Peer Academic Advisor (PAA): ready to advise all the new students on which classes they should take.

This Bioengineering, Pre-Med major hails from just outside of Chicago, but you’ll never hear her admit that she has an accent - really it’s everyone else that sounds different. Heard of “Riverdance?” Gabrielle turned down the lead so she could make your O-Week amazing. She’s been an Irish dancer for 16 years, so you can definitely look forward to learning the jig before O-Week is over! And don’t even get her started about football - she could go on forever about it, especially the Steelers (and yes, she knows she isn’t actually from Pittsburgh). Just a warning: be careful not to take everything she says as the truth, because half the time she is just making some sarcastic, sassy remark. Gabrielle is one of the most dedicated and caring people you could ask for as an advisor, so be prepared for a fantastic O-Week!
